Youth Environment Council

The Youth Environment Council is open to youth who are passionate about caring for the environment.
State YEC – made up of Representatives from all of the School Regions
Regional YEC – made up of representatives from all the School Networks e.g. North Coast Region comprising Tweed Network, Central Network and South Network.
Network YEC- made up of representatives from all the Local Networks. E.g. Central Network, made up of 3 Local Networks comprising Mid North Coast Schools, Coffs Schools and Clarence Schools.
Local Network YEC –made up of 8 Executive – President, Vice President, Secretary, Editor, Technology Officer, Representatives Tertiary, High and Primary, who are elected for the term of 1 year. It is open to students in Primary School, Years 7-12 in High School and Young adults having left School to an age of 25. 4 students from each school will represent their school. 2 permanent and 2 rotating E.g. Mid North Coast Network involves Dorrigo High School, Bellingen High School, Nambucca Heads High School, Macksville High School and Bowraville Central School plus all of the feeder primary Schools. This should give a YEC with around 30-40 students for each Local Network.
