What is an enterprising project?

Enterprising projects are projects in which students draw on and develop enterprising capacities in a holistic or related way. Enterprising projects:

• are authentic
• are connected to business and/or community organisations
• involve a significant degree of student ownership supported by a teacher/facilitator
• follow a systematic process of design.

Enterprising projects are holistic when:

• all project activities are undertaken for the purpose of producing a practical outcome in response to a defined brief.
• students appreciate reasons for the sequence of project activities undertaken during the project.
• students describe their own learning in relation to a wide menu of enterprise capabilities.
