Remuneration: M750 each and every week
- Running their own licensed business at a student run "home school" market day or an inter school trade fair. Students trade with school money. The use of real money isn't permitted.
- Students apply for a business licence prior to trading. Students are encouraged to exercise creativity and initiative in creating their own products for sale to fellow students.
- Students are encouraged to create income for themselves by investing their savings in the Lifeskills' bank. A rate of 10% per month is paid at Maitland East.
- A simple medium through which all students (K-6) can create an income is through providing collectables. The table on the Creating Income – Lifeskills' Collectables page details how these collectables can benefit the environment, create income for the Lifeskills' Society, provide craft and technology resources and benefit charities.
